Normal Mode

The classic hide-and-seek experience. Players are split into Hiders and Seekers, with a time limit for the Seekers to find all Hiders.

How to Play
  • β€’Lobby is split into two teams: Hiders and Seekers
  • β€’Hiders get a prep period to paint and choose a hiding spot
  • β€’Seekers are frozen during prep and released when the hunt begins
  • β€’Seekers must find all Hiders before the timer expires
  • β€’If time runs out, Hiders win
  • β€’If all Hiders are found, Seekers win
Strategy Tips
  • β†’As Hider: prioritize transition zones and specific object mimicry
  • β†’As Seeker: sweep the perimeter first, work inward along choke points
  • β†’Best for: balanced group sizes, 2–10 players, mixed experience levels
Best for: Groups new to the game, balanced play

Infection Mode

An asymmetric twist. A small number of ‘infected’ Seekers start with permanent paint that has been altered β€” they blend in slightly better but are trying to convert Hiders. Touching a Hider converts them to the Seeker side.

How to Play
  • β€’1–2 players start as ‘infected’ Seekers with altered paint
  • β€’Hiders must avoid the infected Seekers entirely
  • β€’If a Seeker touches a Hider, the Hider becomes a Seeker
  • β€’Seekers grow stronger in numbers as the round progresses
  • β€’Hiders win if any survive until the timer ends
  • β€’Seekers win if all Hiders are converted or found
Strategy Tips
  • β†’As Hider: avoid the open areas where infected Seekers can chain conversions
  • β†’As Hider: pre-pick a strong spot and commit β€” moving reveals you
  • β†’As Seeker: chain conversions early; even one convert dramatically shifts the odds
  • β†’Best for: groups that want a more tense, high-stakes dynamic
Best for: Experienced groups, intense rounds

Double Mode

Both teams have double the time and double the stakes. A longer round with more complex play β€” perfect for groups that want a deeper experience.

How to Play
  • β€’Standard hide-and-seek rules with extended timers
  • β€’Hiders get a longer prep period for detailed paint work
  • β€’Seekers get a longer hunt window
  • β€’Higher player count is recommended (8–10 players)
  • β€’Custom map support is best utilized in this mode
Strategy Tips
  • β†’As Hider: use the extra prep time to build a detailed theme palette
  • β†’As Hider: paint for the camera angle, not your POV β€” the extra time is worth the investment
  • β†’As Seeker: use the time to do thorough sweeps β€” check every shadow
  • β†’Best for: large groups, players who want depth, content creators filming long clips
Best for: Larger groups, content creators
How to Switch Modes

The game mode is selected by the lobby host before starting a match. Open the lobby menu, choose Mode, and pick from Normal / Infection / Double. Some custom community maps may restrict which modes are available.
